2020 Nissan Versa vs 2020 Nissan Sentra

Serving Chattanooga, TN

Which Nissan car will you take home? The current Nissan lineup holds five car models, and the first two cars in the line are the Versa and the Sentra. While these are both classified as compact cars, the Versa is the smaller and more affordable of the two options. Price and size are only some of the many differences that you need to know about before you lock in your car purchase plans.

Performance

Both of these car models are offered with three trim possibilities, and they both have one powertrain option. The Versa’s engine is a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder gas engine that gives off 122 horsepower. In comparison, the Sentra pulls 149 horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine. The base Versa trim is available with your choice of a manual or continuously variable transmission. All other trims for both models are only available with a CVT.

Appearance

Throughout their exteriors, both of these models achieve a striking balance between modern appeal and athleticism. The Versa has a shorter nose and more substantial curvature over the roof. These combined elements create a dramatically different façade from the Sentra’s exterior design. However, both of these vehicles come with powered side mirrors, a U-shaped grille, angled headlights, and a few additional items.

Features

Inside the Versa for 2020, you will find standard or premium cloth seats, a 7-inch screen for the Nissan Connect technologies, Android Auto, a climate control system, Bluetooth tech, Apple CarPlay, and other equipment. The Sentra has many of these same features, and it adds an 8-inch display screen, leatherette material, and others.
