What's New for the 2025 Nissan Altima?
The Altima has maintained its reputation for delivering quality, solid engineering, and great features to drivers for several decades. The 2025 Nissan Altima is a mid-generation model that features several important updates for you to check out before buying your next car. This midsize sedan introduces the SV Special Edition package and eliminates the turbo engine. Another update is the new availability of the Nissan Maintenance Care program.
Specifically, the 2024 Altima was available with both turbo and non-turbo engines. With the discontinuation of the turbo engine, the only engine now available is a 188-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine with front-wheel drive. If you upgrade to all-wheel drive, the engine puts out 182 horsepower. The performance-enhanced Altima SR trim level adds a sport suspension system and transmission paddle shifters.
The new SV Special Edition package dresses up the sedan's exterior with dark elements on the wheels and spoiler. It also adds carbon-fiber trim to the center console. The package includes a 12.3-inch HD display screen, a wireless charging pad, and wireless smartphone app connections.
Otherwise, the 2025 Altima is similar to the 2024 version. A bold front end and low ground clearance establish the model's athletic design. The V-motion grille design that Nissan is recognized for has chrome trim and a radiating pattern. The sharp front-end styling also includes wide air vents and LED headlights that both trend inward toward the grille.
On a trim-by-trim basis, the many features available in the 2024 Altima continue to be available in the 2025 version. These include a lane departure warning, a push-button ignition, keyless entry, parking sensors, a driver attention warning, forward collision mitigation, USB ports, a two-zone auto climate control system, heated front seats, a lane keeping system, adaptive cruise control, a navigation system, NissanConnect, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery and a Bose sound system with nine speakers.
