 What's New for the 2025 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X?

Among midsize trucks, the 2025 Nissan Frontier stands apart with its strong styling and solid performance capabilities. This year, the Frontier continues to be a part of its third generation, and it brings an exciting mix of updates to the table. The four trim levels are unchanged, and these are the S, SV, Pro-X, and SL. The Pro-X with four-wheel drive is known as the Pro-4X. What updates will you find in the 2025 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X?

The Frontier Pro-4X has the same powertrain as the other 2025 trim levels. This is a V6, 3.8-liter engine that generates 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. The Pro-4X features a nine-speed auto transmission and is the only trim level to come with standard four-wheel drive. The maximum towing capacity gets a boost in 2025 to 7,150 pounds. Other features offered with this trim level are a locking rear differential and Bilstein shock absorbers.

The Nissan Frontier sports subtle improvements to the front bumper and grille. These features are integrated and molded for a beefy look. The nose is also styled with rectangular headlights that feature upper and lower LED bars and narrow, rectangular foglights. In addition, the Pro-4X introduces Afterburn Orange to the paint palette and several new wheel designs. The Pro-4X trim level has a 5-foot truck bed, all-terrain tires, extra skid plates, cargo bed lighting, a Class IV trailer hitch, a household power outlet in the truck bed, adjustable tie-down cleats, and other functional features.

Inside, new features include a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, lumbar seat adjustments for the driver's position, a 360-degree interior camera, wireless Android Auto, and a larger 12.3-inch touch display screen. Other features that continue to be available with the Frontier Pro-4X are a Fender sound system with 10 speakers, leather upholstery, a navigation system, a sunroof, a household power outlet in the cabin, a heated leather steering wheel, four USB ports, and more.
