The Nissan Frontier is a midsize truck that delivers the robust functionality, modern style, and advanced features that you want. In 2026, the Frontier will be a mid-generation model, and it will remain largely unchanged. In 2025, the Frontier benefited from improvements to its technologies, infotainment display screen, and style, and these updates carry over to the new model year.
The Nissan Frontier has a strong, powerful look from front to rear, thanks to its squared-off front end. The front bumper and grille are integrated and cover the nose from top to bottom. Both the LED headlights and fog lights have a rectangular shape and are mounted horizontally. The 2026 Frontier's exterior gets a boost of ruggedness from its molded and subtly flared fenders. Exterior features include 17-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, skid plates, cargo bed lights, bed lighting, a spray-in liner, a Class IV tow hitch, a sliding rear window, heated side mirrors, a household outlet in the bed, adjustable tie-down cleats, and more.
The Frontier's four trim levels are available with the same powertrain: a 310-horsepower, 3.8-liter V6 system that produces 281 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with standard rear-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive with low-range gearing is available. Select trims are also equipped with Bilstein shock absorbers and a locking rear differential.
The entry-level Frontier S is well-appointed with features like an internet hotspot, a four-speaker audio system, two USB ports, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, cloth seats, a blind-spot warning, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, a rear cross-traffic warning, and an 8-inch touch display screen.
Optional packages and higher trim levels add a 12.3-inch touch display screen, satellite radio, wireless smartphone app connections, a power-adjusting driver's seat, a heated steering wheel with a leather cover, four USB ports, remote start, heated front seats, a wireless charging station, traffic sign recognition, a 360-degree camera system, keyless entry, a sunroof, leather upholstery, a premium Fender sound system and several other features.
