 What's New for the 2026 Nissan Sentra?

The remarkable Nissan Sentra boldly introduces its ninth generation in 2026. The latest generation of this small sedan is brilliantly redesigned inside and out. It also has numerous feature updates and even a few upgrades to its mechanical equipment. This model continues to be available in the S, SV, and SR trim levels.

While the 2026 Sentra's engine remains the same, the latest model year adds an upgraded continuously variable transmission and new dampers. The powertrain is a four-cylinder, naturally aspirated 2.0-liter gas engine that delivers 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque.

The Sentra's new look is captivating and modern thanks to a revised front end and a completely overhauled profile. The model sports a longer slope across the roof and bold definition lines swooping across the hood. The sides are distinguished by added power over the back haunches and lightly crisp linear accents running across the door panels. At the front, the V-motion grille grows shorter and wider. It is flanked on each side by three body-colored, angled support bars. The upper chrome element on the grille fades into the LED bar in the slender headlights.

Inside, the 2026 Sentra has higher-grade upholstery and materials. It also now has a 12.3-inch infotainment screen for all trim levels. If you select the Sentra SL, your sedan will now come with a heated steering wheel, a power sunroof, faux leather upholstery, alloy wheels, and auto climate control.

Other features in the Sentra that carry forward from the 2025 version include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, remote keyless entry, a USB port, a lane departure alert, a blind-spot warning, forward collision avoidance, a 7-inch driver information display, adaptive cruise control, leather upholstery, a surround-view camera, a Bose premium audio system with eight speakers, a wireless internet hotspot, heated front seats, a dual-zone auto climate control system, remote engine start and several additional features.
