When we think of tire rotation we often think about the tires rotating as they go down the road. But the type of tire rotation that is needed is by physically taking the tire off its location and moving it to another location. The reason for all of this is because over time, tires begin to wear the tread down. And each tire wears differently than the other. By having a technician to rotate your tires, it keeps the tread wear even. Tires are given an mileage claim and in order to get close to that claim, rotation is mandatory.
Potential issues can be spotted by having your tires rotated. Sometimes you may run over a nail and be unaware until a flat happens. Or you could have an alignment issue. An alignment issue can be spotted by one tire wearing quicker than the others. By having a tire technician inspect and rotate your tires on a regular basis, those issues can be spotted and attended to.
