Performance

The 2023 Nissan Sentra is a compact sedan that will get you down the road in style. Its three trims are all available with a four-cylinder, 149-horsepower gas engine. This system includes a CVT and front-wheel drive. Some Sentra trims add rear disc brakes for improved handling. The 2023 Nissan Altima, on the other hand, is equipped with a 188-horsepower, four-cylinder engine for the first four of five trims. This engine pairs with front-wheel or all-wheel drive and a CVT. The top Altima trim features front-wheel drive with a 236-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder engine. Some Altima trims have a sport suspension and paddle shifters.

Appearance

The Sentra and the Altima display Nissan's chrome-accented, V-motion grille and have a sporty look. The Sentra accomplishes this through its stretched, slender headlights, flared air vents, and defined rear haunches. Conversely, the Altima has a taller hood that rounds powerfully into the drop-down grille. This grille pairs with pointed LED headlights and triangle-shaped air vents. The sides are mostly smooth, except for delicate accents that combine to create a sense of motion.

Features

The 2023 Sentra and the Altima grow more appealing when you explore their many features. While their specific features are trim-specific, both models have some of the same features available. For example, they offer simulated leather or leather material, a Bose audio system, a surround-view camera, heated front seats, a WiFi hotspot, a remote engine start, adaptive cruise control, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, blind-spot detection, and more. The Altima sits higher in Nissan's model lineup, so it has a few extras that are not available in the Sentra. These are rear auto braking, a 360-degree camera, a navigation system, a Bose sound system, wireless connections for smart device apps, and others.
