Performance
The 2023 and 2024 Nissan Altima are available in five trims: the S, SV, SR, SL and SR VC-Turbo. The first four trims are well-engineered with a 188-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. This system has a continuously variable transmission and standard front-wheel drive. If you opt for the all-wheel drive system, the engine's output declines slightly to 182 horsepower. If you choose the SR VC-Turbo trim, your Altima will have a four-cylinder, turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. Depending on the type of fuel used, its output ranges from 236 to 248 horsepower. It is exclusively available with front-wheel drive. Select trims also come with transmission paddle shifters and a sports suspension.
Appearance
The Nissan Altima has a captivating, athletic façade initially defined by a slightly arched hood and strong curvature through the low-profile hood. From the side view, you can appreciate the innovative wheel design and upper and lower pinstripe accents that sweep from front to rear. The front end has a sharp look with a drop-down V-Motion grille paired with long, pointed headlights and air vents. Some or all features for both model years give you exterior gear like foglamps, 19-inch wheels, turn signals in the heated side mirrors, a sunroof, and automatic high beams.
Features
The Altima continues to impress when you get behind the wheel thanks to the excellent features available throughout its trims. The base S trim is loaded with a rear seat reminder, a driver attention warning, a USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, remote engine start, a split-folding rear seat, forward collision sensing with automatic braking, a blind-spot warning, and several other features. The higher Altima trims build on these features and may add more USB ports, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, heated front seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment system screen, adaptive cruise control, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, a navigation system, NissanConnect, and several other premium features.
