2025 Nissan Murano vs 2024 Nissan Murano

Serving Chattanooga, TN

The Nissan Murano's fourth generation debuts in the 2025 model year, bringing sweeping changes to its design, features and engineering. With such significant updates, you need full details about what the Murano offers before selecting your next crossover SUV. What should you know about the 2024 and 2025 Nissan Murano?

Performance

In 2024, the Nissan Murano is outfitted with a V6 engine and a CVT. In 2025, the V6 unit is replaced by a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder system and a nine-speed auto transmission. This powertrain produces 241 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The SV trim level has standard front-wheel drive with the option to upgrade to all-wheel drive. The mid-level SL and top-of-the-line Platinum trim levels have standard all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The Murano is a two-row, midsize SUV with a magnificent new look. Its body shape is more aerodynamic in 2025 with a curved roof that tapers through the raked rear. While the side panels are smoothly contoured, they are also styled with pinstripe definition rounding over the fenders and dark, defined molding running across the lower door panels. The front of the Murano is modernized with a stretched version of Nissan's traditional V-motion grille. This grille is styled with a tight stack of horizontal crossbars and two-tone accentuation on its sides. The thin bumper runs from side to side, and the triangular air inlets are mounted above the bumper flanking the grille. The headlights show off a narrow band of three LED bulbs.

Features

Several of the Murano's technologies are updated in the 2025 model year. The entry-level trim comes with wireless smartphone integration, a wireless phone charger, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a digital instrument panel, forward collision warning, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control and other features. If you choose the mid-range or top trim level, your Murano may also come with a panoramic sunroof, driver's memory controls, a Bose audio system with 10 speakers, a Google navigation system, integrated Wi-Fi, a hands-free power liftgate, quilted leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, a head-up display and other features.
