The results of the J.D. Power 2015 U.S. Automotive, Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study were unveiled last week, and we were especially excited to see three Nissan models score exceptionally well in their segments. The annual study provides purchasers and lessees of new vehicles a platform for evaluating their cars, trucks, and SUVs on 77 specific attributes.
The Titan scored 867 points to rank as the number one Large Light Duty pickup. Maxima won the Large Car segment with a score of 857 points. Nissan's best-selling Altima increased its score 7 points over last year, earning 824 to take second in the Midsize Car category. All three models scored higher than the industry average of 801.
"It is gratifying to see three vehicles that are either all-new or redesigned receive such high marks from customers," said Christian Meunier, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S.A., Nissan North America, Inc. “And along with our best-selling sedans and crossovers, Nissan is providing more options as we launch the ‘Year of the Truck’ with our all-new TITAN and TITAN XD trucks.”
