As we learn more and more about the importance of literacy in young children’s lives, it’s more important than ever to fund programs such as the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation (GBBF). This group provides early readers with books and other education that they wouldn’t get otherwise. Recently Nissan North America made a very generous grant: $100,000 to the early childhood literacy program in Tennessee.
