Nissan Slashes Manufacturing Emissions with Specialized NESCO Teams

Sometimes, commitment to the environment requires an all-in dedicated approach. That's why Nissan created NESCO (Nissan Energy Saving Collaboration). These are teams of energy specialists whose sole job is to dig into the energy use at Nissan manufacturing plants, find out where and how that energy is being used, and find ways to make the process more efficient.

Between 2005 and 2014, Nissan was able to reduce CO2 emissions by 22.6 percent.

That 22.6 percent represents 331,184 tons of CO2, an amount that would take 23,656,000 cedar trees to sequester.
